Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Building up sales pipeline, tracking and managing the complete sales process end to end, from opportunity qualification to closure of new business.
Self-generate meetings with potential new customers via Teams or Face to Face.
Build & maintain a customer base expanding revenue streams.
Communicating with in/outbound leads via multiple channels.
Previous experience of working in a sales role within a freight forwarding/logistics organisation is essential with a proven track record of success in International Air,Sea,Import and Export.
Good understanding of transport and Worldwide logistics.
Strong resilience and positivity particularly in challenging situations.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Liaising with the Sales Manager/Director to establish sales forecasting for the business on a weekly/monthly basis
Strong negotiation skills.
The ability to develop and build strong and personable relationships over the phone and in person with a broad range of individuals.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a strong team player.
The ability to keep self-motivated.
High attention to detail.
Accountability to yourself and others.
Analytical and ambitious.
Requirements:
+3 years sales experience within the freight forwarding / logistics industry.
Extensive experience within freight forwarding sales.
Experience of generating own sales leads.
Experience selling multimodal sea and air services.
Experience using Microsoft packages such as word, excel, PowerPoint.
Understand how to handle objections from prospects.
Able to provide rates / quotes on freight.
Knowledge of freight forwarding exports and imports.
Know how to build a strong sales pipeline.
Commercially focused with strong customer service skills.
Clear & confident communicator.
Able to work unsupervised.
Team Player.
Self-motivated and driven to reach targets.
Able to build long lasting relationships.
