The Human Resources (HR) Assistant manages the day-to-day operations of the human resource department. The HR Assistant will assist with employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist with pre-employment interview, screening, and testing
2. Helps organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
3. Drug Test Implementation
4. Assist in explaining and providing information on employee benefits, programs, and education
5. Assist with training programs
6. Maintains daily absence report
7. Create, improve, and perform company employee programs (Employee of the month, Birthdays, awards, etc.)
8. Performs monthly activities for employees (valentines, thanksgiving lunch, Christmas party, etc.)
9. Maintains and updates KPI report
10. Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
11. Maintain records or files and respond to visitors and telephone calls
12. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
13. Organization development
14. Compliance and regulatory concerns and reporting
15. Provides secretarial assistance to the front desk
16. Other projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Educational Level: Associates or bachelor’s in business, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or in a related field.
Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in recruitment, benefits, training.
Personal Characteristics: Trustworthy, respectful, organized, efficient, leadership skills, excellent communicator.
Certifications: Any are a plus
