E-commerce Developer and Manager

We are developing an e-commerce platform to reshape the way business is done in the world of industrial process automation and we our recruiting our first full-time developer to play a leading role in taking us from beta to scale!

Miller Mechanical Specialties is a distributor in the industrial process automation market. Currently there is very little e-commerce activity in this industry and we have built our own platform, called Process Shop, to address that opportunity. Process Shop enables distributors across the US to setup their own e-commerce shops while meeting some of the unique needs of this market including geographic limitations to sales, and highly complex and configurable products.

We are hiring an E-commerce Developer & Manager to play a critical role in moving this platform past beta stage and scaling to meet the needs of several early-stage customers. This person will play a critical role in helping Miller Mechanical to drive a step-change in its growth. The ideal candidate for this role has software development experience, and loves puzzles, problem-solving and getting minute details right! This is a great opportunity to have a huge amount of ownership in the establishment of a new e-commerce platform; you will wear a lot of different hats and gain very valuable experience.

Responsibilities:

• Work with our part-time project manager and developers to accelerate platform development in areas including but not limited to: product configurators, integration with other platforms, user experience, e-commerce system improvements
• Work with product experts from Miller Mechanical to build and manage a database of products available to be configured (this responsibility is a VERY large portion of the job because this is the core product that Process Shop delivers to Miller Mechanical and other distributors)
• Develop and follow QA procedures to ensure proper operation of software and to minimize the number of errors in product configuration and pricing

Requirements:

• Top-notch thoroughness and attention to detail
• Experience with common programming languages

Location: This is a hybrid work position with two days in the office and a flexible work schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
