Grantosa Drive Elementary School is actively recruiting candidates for a School Support Teacher position.
A School Support Teacher serves under the direction of the building’s Principal and the CAO to support the Framework for Teaching at the school and classroom level. This position supports three main responsibility areas at the school level: transformational coaching, use of data to inform instruction to improve student outcomes, and planning and providing professional development aligned to the district and school professional development plan.

At the time of hire, the selected candidate will need to submit three (3) letters of recommendation dated within the last year and signed by the author and official paper transcripts conferring his/her bachelor’s degree and master’s degree, if applicable.

Designs and models instructional strategies including interdisciplinary lessons and projects to support district initiatives. Facilitates school-level professional development. Understands and supports implementation of all district instructional initiatives.
Analyzes, interprets, and utilizes data to implement -the district wide professional development plan. Participates in school-based professional learning community meetings (Learning Team, grade level I content teams) and assists in the development and implementation of School Improvement Plans.
Builds trust to facilitate change, and works collaboratively with teachers, and district and school leaders to provide effective, formative feedback through the instructional coaching model.
Supports the implementation of the Framework for Teaching and uses collaborative instructional coaching conversations to guide others.
Maintains schedules, records and completes required paperwork to track data and results.
Attends mandatory trainings outside of regular work schedule as required.
Assists in the implementation of multiple key initiatives to achieve identified results.
Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
Performs other duties as assigned.
