Summary
Supervise manufacturing and assembly processes on a 2nd shift to achieve continuous and efficient production of high quality products. High speed manufacturing and assembly, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities
- Direct and assign daily work assignments according to the Production Schedule.
- Assist Production Manager by implementing safety activities, continuous Improvement activities, cost savings activities, and all other activities that improves Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America manufacturing.
- Develop associates by training, cross-training, and providing continuing education opportunities.
- Conduct formal performance appraisals for hourly associates.
- Administer corrective disciplinary action; resolve associate complaints through impartial investigation, counseling, or corrective action.
- Maintain and monitor E-Time for hourly attendance.
- Participate in the selection process by interviewing external job candidates or evaluating temporary associates. INDSJ
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a supervisory capacity, OR equivalent in experience.
- Solid verbal, written, and cross-cultural communication skills, emphasizing interpersonal and group presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of production techniques, processes, and methods.
- Broad knowledge of Production Planning Systems (such as JDE or other enterprise wide software (ERP).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents related to our products.
- Hands-on technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and electronics applications.
