About Mobile Care Chicago
Currently in its 23rd year of service, Mobile Care Chicago is a non-profit organization which operates mobile medical clinics. These mobile clinics travel into underserved, low-income communities and provide no-cost diagnosis, medical care, and education to children and young adults, as well as some adults. Through four mobile clinics (Mobile Medical, Asthma/Allergy, Comprehensive Dental, and Opioid Recovery), Mobile Care currently provides health care to over 7,000 patients annually.
The role of the Practice Manager is to ensure a consistent and effective clinic environment for the benefit of Mobile Care’s patients and staff. The position intersects with discussions at every level of the organization, from multi-year strategic planning to structuring daily post-clinic reports. Responsibilities also include overseeing all facets of insurance billing; including timely submission of insurance claims, resubmission of claims, and managing the revenue and expenses of the organization’s clinics. The Practice Manager maintains organizational workflows, ensures effective communication between the clinical staff and administration, and upholds the values of the organization through our everyday practice.
The ideal candidate is one who understands the importance of building and reinforcing a positive office culture, good habits, a person who is equally comfortable holding people accountable and celebrating their successes, someone who can think creatively about the future of medical care delivery and isn’t intimidated by proposing new ideas, and someone who passionately wants to be a part of creating change in our community.
