Mobius Materials Hiring for Full Stack Developer at Richmond, VA Full Time

What will you do in this job?

You will completely own the backend and frontend engineering at Mobius to enable us to 10X in the next year. Among other things, you will:

• Create more robust features for sellers (e.g., dynamic pricing, shipping integration) and a new set of features for brokers (e.g., bidding tools)

• Build automation for customers to help us scale to 10x our current capacity

• Manage prioritization of tasks and bugs

• Own engagement, conversion and reliability metrics

• Design and implement changes to our architecture (e.g., better alerting, container orchestration etc.)

What does Mobius do?

Mobius is a fast growing startup that is building a circular economy in the electronics industry. The dirty secret of the industry is that $15B of brand new, excess semiconductors are thrown away every year. This happens because counterfeit semiconductors drive down the prices of resale so much that it’s not worth it for manufacturers with excess to resell them. We certify the authenticity of these semiconductors and create a B2B marketplace to sell them so that they end up back in the supply chain not the landfill.

What’s our current tech stack?

Our current tech stack is a functional mixed JS and Python set up that was built by our founder. It will however need to drastically scale in capacity and feature set to handle more and bigger customers!

Stack:

• Third party tools – Webflow, Shopify, Auth0

• Other tools – Postgres, Heroku, Sentry, Retool, Tailwinds, Figma, S3

You will be the only engineer besides the founder (full stack dev) on the team so you will have high ability to control the direction of the stack.

Technical requirements:

• 3 – 10 years experience in Python or Javascript

• Solid backend experience preferred
