MPI Label Systems Hiring for Warehouse Supervisor at Baltimore, MD Full Time

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the shipping and receiving departments to ensure the timely and accurate shipping of finished product to Customer’s and accurate receipt of incoming product, while consistently meeting Company demands and specifications.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly supervise the assigned functions to ensure the production of the highest quality to meet Customer, Vendor and Company specifications.
• Oversee all vendor returns maintaining appropriate records and documentation of returned products.
• Ensure daily activities are conducted at all times in a safe and proper manner.
• Maintain the warehouses in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and immediately and effectively address any personnel issues that arise and are not within the company polices and best practices.
• Understand all related aspects of the management information system, with the ability to interpret various reports from the system, to effectively plan the daily activities of each department.
• Ensure paperwork, records, documents, etc. are accurate and all required information is entered timely and accurately into the management information system or filed accordingly.
• Ensure materials are moved to the production department in a timely manner to meet production requirements.
• Oversee returnable and recyclable product management and returns.
• Oversee the shipping of product, ensuring product is packaged according to Customer specifications and meets Customer and Company standards for quality.
• Schedule all outbound, and necessary inbound, deliveries to meet the Company’s or Customer’s expectations while maintaining a cost effective approach.
• Develop and maintain positive employee relations and ensure open lines of communications with employees and managers.
• Review all processes and expectations with employees to develop and offer suggestions for process improvements.
• Proactively seek new and better methods to improve employees’ daily activities.
• Communicate daily with the Plant Manager on matters of importance which could negatively impact quality, cost, safety or employee morale.
• Communicate daily with the Account Services Department, the Scheduling Department and the Finishing Department to ensure we are meeting the expectations of the Customer.
• Ability to effectively use and understand all material handling equipment. Ensure personnel and properly trained in the appropriate use of the equipment. Ensure preventive maintenance is performed as scheduled on the equipment.
• Oversee accurate verification, monitoring and organization of daily finished goods from the Finishing Department and long-term Finished Goods Inventories, in conjunction with the Scheduling Department.
• Oversee the receipt of all incoming materials, supplies, equipment, etc. and the checking of goods for damage and adherence to purchase orders. Effectively communicate daily with the Purchasing Department.
• Assist in the effective training of employees. Review the daily training activities with new employees for the first 30 days of employment and structure future sessions based on the results to date. Conduct 30/60/90 day reviews for all new employees.
• Assist in development of written procedures. Establish and implement written procedures in all production departments.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring recommendations and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems; instituting disciplinary action for company rule/policy violations up to and including suspensions; and recommendation of termination of employees.
• Consistently perform all pre-determined required daily duties as outlined by the Company.
