BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Inside Account Representative answers inbound calls to sell MSC products in accordance with MSC Culture and Customer Service Standards.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answers inbound calls to sell MSC products in accordance with MSC Culture and Customer Service standards.
• Resolves customer product and service issues by providing sales related solutions utilizing the most common sources of information. Consults with other associates to locate alternative sources of information.
• Provides customer service in accordance with MSC standards to ensure customer satisfaction, account retention, and revenue generation.
• Communicates customer concerns to management to ensure the most effective and lasting problem resolution.
• Resolves basic credit and collections issues to enhance customer service.
• Provides customer service using all tools available including, but not limited to, email and the Internet.
• Identify and upsell MSC products where applicable to satisfy customer needs.
• Recommend team sales process improvements to drive profitability for each customer order.
• Utilize WEBSOR and Salesforce.com software to increase sales and fuel customer satisfaction.
• Learns and fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
ÿ A High School Diploma or the equivalent required.
ÿ 0-2 years inbound/outbound telephone sales, outside sales, or customer service experience required.
ÿ Industry experience preferred.
SKILLS:
ÿ Knowledge of basic arithmetic required.
ÿ Computer literacy and proficiency with email, various internet browsers and/or the Windows operating system is required.
ÿ Good oral and written communications skills required.
ÿ The ability to work a varying schedule is also required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
q A valid driver’s license may be required.
q The ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required based on branch location (not all branches).
