Summary
Reporting to the System Director of Talent Acquisition and the Flex Team, the Flex Team Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Flex Team employees and Agency staff. They are responsible to coordinate education, orientation, regulatory compliance and employee management as well as to help promote safe, evidenced based clinical practice, education and professional development and support patient care functions.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
BSN is required
3-5 years RN experience required; 3-5 years Flex Pool leadership experience preferred
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Promotes innovation & standardization in practice in collaboration and coordination with the care delivery team; supports implementation of system & local policies to support standard practice.
Promotes consistent policies, implementation, & practice that is current, consistent, and based on research and best practices.
Supports and/or coordinates implementation of innovative strategies to recruit and retain talent and supports the professional framework.
Ensures coordination & support for orientation structures
Ensures coordination of competency assessment
Supports and or coordinates innovation and collaboration to improve clinical care, promote professionalism, and develop strategies to support the mission and vision.

Quality of Care
Ensures fair and consistent application of personnel policies.
Ensures performance evaluation of reporting staff annually on a timely basis.
Provides corrective action according to hospital policy, regulations, and applicable practice standards.
Education
Assesses staff continuing education and professional growth needs and plans to assist staff in meeting those needs.
Fosters a climate conducive to educational experiences for nurses and other learners.
Provides leadership and direction in developing and implementing appropriate levels of education and training for personnel
