Visit us atwww.nadap.org.Job Title: Payroll SpecialistJob Summary: The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department by processing the bi-weekly payroll and payroll related reports.Responsibilities:Responsible for processing payroll and reviewing timesheets on a bi-weekly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Review approved EAF information on the Payroll system.Review reports for accuracy, following up with managers for appropriate approvals, properly documenting and entering time and attendance data overrides in payroll system, including retro-active adjustments.Prepare various schedules and ad-hoc reports, including labor and earnings, monthly “Accrued time” report for managers, “Retirement Plan” report, and “Over Time” report utilizing various reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.Complete review of payroll exception reports, balance batch totals and provide payroll information for the CFO to submit and approve payroll(s). Determine need for additional corrections and/or additional validation of updates. Recommend and follow through with approved processing changes to improve process efficiency.Daily interaction with HR and other Finance Staff to ensure efficient workflow of information.Maintain account schedule to track health, welfare and time deductions and release of wage attachments.Answer employee and management questions regarding paycheck information and provide direction as to proper documentation and help with policy clarification.Maintain employee master fields in payroll system including imports and mass updates.Prepare and input payroll journal entries into Blackbaud.Reconcile Quarterly Returns to Internal Blackbaud accounting entriesReview Paycom invoices and prepares check requests.Complete miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by Supervisor.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Associates degree or higher education required.Minimum of 1.5 years job-related experience facilitating payroll in a midsized organization.Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including creating pivot tables and VLookup.Experience processing payroll in a web-based platform, Paycom preferred.Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.During the COVID-19 pandemic, this role has a hybrid work schedule which is currently three days onsite, two days remote.
