Medical Coder/Biller
We’re looking for a medical coder/biller to join our team for their next career move. We use AMKAI, SIS, mdStrategies & Change Healthcare to bill our patients & their insurance companies. You should have experience in facility billing and billing commercial carriers for implants. The right candidate should have experience with aging, patient statements and insurance appeals. Computer & internet skills are required along with having strong organizational skills. We offer an excellent work environment and a great team office. Please apply if you are interested!

Responsibilities

• Translate patient information and into alphanumeric medical code.
• Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
• Submit claims to insurance.
• Prepare and review patient statements.
• Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes.
• Process payments from insurance companies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Code patient services and enter into computer.
• Sort and file paperwork.
• Ensure healthcare facilities are reimbursed for all procedures.
• Handle information about patient treatment, diagnosis, and related procedures to ensure proper coding.
• Know or learn several different coding systems.
• Use computers to read and organized charts.
• Follow up to see if a claim is accepted or denied. Ensure authorization is confirmed prior to surgery.
• Investigate rejected claim to see why denial was issued and appeal.
• Investigate insurance fraud and report if found.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
