We are currently looking for a Restaurant Accountant to join our team in Toledo, OH. This position requires basic business and accounting acumen, the ability to communicate, process large volumes of data accurately, stay organized, keep confidentiality, and manage one’s own time. Key job skills are: financial and systems knowledge, leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and experience in Outlook, Excel and web-based data management. Job duties are diverse but interrelated.

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Accounting and administrative tasks for 3-5 restaurants in the Toledo area including all function of accounts payable and purchasing, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Processing of weekly payroll hours and benefits. This includes compiling employee time, production, and other payroll data from time clocks and other records.
• Reconciliation of payroll reports and recording appropriate journal entries in the general ledger.
• Entering other accounting data including journal entries, accounts payable and deposits.
• Administrative support for the Corporate Office.
• Compiling reports and correspondence.
• Preparing and updating spreadsheets.
• All other duties assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Organized, positive attitude. Willingness to learn.

• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Ability to meet and work effectively with the public.

• Knowledge of general office procedures. Professional demeanor.

• Basic knowledge of accounting, accounting system is Restaurant 365 and QuickBooks.

Compensation

Compensation: Full time, hourly with 30-40 hours per week expected. Flexible scheduling possible. Participation in all company benefit plans. Expected pay rate of $20+ per hour.
