About Us:

Napleton Automotive Group owns and operates 55+ retail automotive dealerships in eight states. Our group employs 3,500 people nationwide and has rental car facilities, body shops, and a large real estate portfolio as well. Napleton is ranked 10th out of top 150 automotive groups in the U.S. for 2020 based on new car volume.

Napleton’s brand new state of the art used car facility is opening in November 2021 and is looking to fill this position, which will be responsible for partnering with the Regional Director and assisting to oversee and manage all functions at the dealership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Selecting, training, coaching, developing and retaining the Sales Associates and F&I Managers for the store and driving a high-level of performance among the sales team to increase market share, achieve targeted unit sales and profit margins.
• Effectively communicating with the Controller on a weekly basis to review departmental forecasts and ensure consistency with annual projections.
• Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary.
• Engaging and motivating the team to achieve key goals and performance expectations.
• Managing the negotiation and financing processes with Sales Associates ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing.
• Ability to forecast goals and objectives for vehicle sales, gross and key expenses on a monthly and annual basis.
• Leading the Sales Department including inventory management, merchandising, pricing and the reconditioning process.
• Creating a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel and maintaining these relationships.
• Maintaining an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale.
• Partnering with the Regional Director to plan and manage used vehicle inventory.
• Assisting in managing controllable expense elements for the Sales Department.
• Analyzing the business to determine shortfalls and developing action plans to improve performance.
• Appraising vehicles for trade.
• Focusing on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Dealer Management, preferably General Sales Manager or General Manager experience.
• Ability to understand profit, loss statements, and manage a large staff.
• CDK experience is a plus!
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Passionate about customer retention and satisfaction.
• Proven success with determining monthly and yearly forecasts.
• Performance driven with a need to succeed.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.
