Job Overview:
The HR Consultant is the strategic and operational advisor to the business. The HR Consultant implements best practices and embeds them into the business.
The HR Consultant is a Leader in all aspects of HR, including: employee relations, employee development, workforce planning and allocation, talent management, attrition analysis, employee retention, performance management, regulatory compliance, policy and procedures, compensation and benefit.
Responsibilities:
Interpret the business needs and execute accordingly, leveraging internal processes and procedures.
Provide advice, consulting and problem solving to managers, supervisors and employees.
Provide coaching and guidance on strategic and operational People issues to line management and provides input into programs and initiatives to meet business needs.
Collaborate with other People colleagues and People COEs to share business issues and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensures proactive communication with relevant People functions and takes ownership of issues regardless of matrix reporting/responsibilities.
Bring People best practices to the organization to ensure business goals are achieved through coordination of programs, conducting training to managers and employees, and facilitating meetings.
Protects company proprietary and confidential information.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Organizational Development, Business or Education preferred. Juris Master (JM) graduate degree candidates are welcome to apply.
3+ years of experience working within a human resources function.
Diverse industry working experience
Experience with hosting teleconferencing meetings on-camera utilizing MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx, SKYPE, etc.
Intermediate to advanced level personal computer skills; standard corporate software applications and applicable systems (Microsoft Office 365 apps: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS SharePoint and MS PowerPoint) required.
Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems with minimal guidance.
Strong business acumen and ability to cultivate and develop effective influential relationships.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with collaborative, consultative and innovative approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
Demonstrated ability to identify and lead significant change initiatives.
Basic project management skills, and prioritizing skills.
Ability to effectively present information to employees and managers.
Strong customer service orientation and maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Active SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials highly preferred.
