Position’s Purpose
Under the supervision of our construction manager, the primary role of this position is to lead and manage crew members toward successful execution of professionally designed residential landscape construction projects in a manner that meets professional quality standards, safely and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead crewmembers in the installation of residential landscapes including stone and paver patios, water features, plantings and irrigation & lighting systems.
- Establish and communicate daily and weekly production goals and lead a 2-3 person crew to win the day and week.
- Ensure quality standards and project budgets are met.
- Ensure safety standards and policies are understood and practiced at all times.
- Train crew members in safe operation of tools and equipment.
- Ensure crew vehicle, tools and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for.
- Perform / lead snow removal work in when needed.
Requirements
- Clean driving record and license in good standing.
- Ability to read and understand landscape plans and written work orders.
- Ability to plan an communicate production goals, material needs and equipment requests both verbally and via smartphone or tablet, in English.
- Ability and willingness to work Saturdays when needed to meet project deadlines and production goals.
- 3+ years relevant landscape construction experience.
- Proactive, organized and reliable team player with positive attitude.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs safely on one’s own.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, we participate in E-Verify.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associates or bachelors degree in related field such as horticulture or construction management preferred.
