NeedHR Partner Hiring for Staff Accountant- Remote Job at Maryland Full Time

Need HR Partner has been engaged to recruit for a very busy and fast-paced CPA firm looking for a Staff Accountant for their growing business. The work will be 40 hours, after the probationary period the work may be completed remotely however may still require onsite client visits.

The Staff accountants will utilize knowledge of financial accounting principles, balance sheets and income statements to maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets, and perform general bookkeeping. Staff Accountant will utilize spreadsheets and data to assist in making decisions. Staff account will acquire a working knowledge of the client’s business.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct Client visits interacting with leadership to obtaining transactions, bills, bank statements, bookkeeping and cutting checks

• Using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles will verify and post detailed business transactions to the general ledger and other tracking systems
• Will reconcile and audit general ledger accounts and prepares accounting entries
• Must be able to analyze large amounts of data from various sources and organize the data by creating and updating complex spreadsheets (Excel)
• Assists in the preparation of audit schedules, data collection and documents procedures and flowchart processes
• Provides support in preparing various reports which summarize and forecast the business activity and financial position in areas of assets, liabilities, income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
• Managing client’s activity via QuickBooks online

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• 2 yr. experience preferred
• Nonprofit and grant management accounting

• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

• Experience with computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service and interaction skills
