Cost Accountant

Davis

Well established agriculture distributor is seeking a Cost Accountant to join their finance team. This role will be responsible for product costing, understanding manufacturing variances and item construction.

Main Functions Include:

• Perform bi-weekly/monthly control audits to ensure PO processing and inventory adjustments are processed correctly
• Compile financial and statistical reporting as requested
• Reconcile inventory balance sheets and explain variances
• Perform month-end close
• Ensure all inventory is properly coded to the general ledger
• Oversee all product costing including bills of material and routings
• Reconcile material postings to work orders
• Prepare cost forecast for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules
• Analyze month-end and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements

Ideal qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required
• Minimum 1 year in costing
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills
