Description
We are currently engaged in a national search for a React Software Engineer with a tremendous company located in Rhode Island. In this role, the React Software Engineer will:
- Act as a key influencer for multiple consumers facing web projects and initiatives while collaborating with team members to deliver a “customer first” user experience.
- Work with cross-functional teams of Engineers, UX designers and Business SME’s in an Agile environment to understand web project requirements, customer pain points and user insights to support strategic plans.
- Develop new UI components for consumer facing Single Page Application in a React.js, JavaScript environment.
- Utilize React to develop the latest customer-facing features and create high quality code from designs and wireframes utilizing core software engineering concepts like reusable components.
- Assist in writing automated tests in Jest or Cypress that provide value to the development process.
- Participate in reviewing and testing code of other developers to provide beneficial feedback as well as ensure technical consistencies.
- Participate in release management practices for production ready code. The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:• React.js user interface development for single-page applications.
• Strong background and career progression in JavaScript Development and thorough understanding of React and its core principles.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulations and the JavaScript object model.
• Development in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript environments including their cross-browser implications.
• Ability to integrate with other systems via RESTful APIs.
• Common single page application development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM/Yarn, etc. (Preferred).
• Redux application state management.
• Automation testing utilizing Jest, Cypress or other tools. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming.
