Job Description

NewCold is seeking a North American Transportation Director to manage and oversee our business planning, business development and project implementation in Transport Solutions across North America.

What you will be doing:

· Be responsible for investigation, design and implementation of the most optimal transport services for our customers in combination with our network of highly automated warehouses

· Participate and co-drive the Business Development process to offer tailor made and sustainable transport solutions to leading food companies in the USA

· Manage 3rd party external transportation resources (brokerage) required for optimal cost-effective service

· Partner with our IT Division in the system integration of transportation business unit with our proprietary ERP / WMS systems

· Monitor the logistics transportation implementation process based on quality and total cost of ownership

· Coordinate with North American and Netherlands leadership on implementation, roll-out and overall best practices

· Collaborate with operations and business development on continuous improvement of transport

· Provide support to stakeholders on budgeting and solutions

· Will evaluate data and market trends to help drive business decisions

· Continuous research of innovative logistics transportations solutions

What you bring to the table

10-15+ years of transportation leadership experience

Food industry logistics industry experience

Implementing and operating IT systems for logistics, transportation and supply chain

Strong network with nationwide trucking companies (refrigeration transport)

Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically throughout the US

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 – $175,000.00 per year
