We are currently looking for a HRBP Manager, Labor and Employee Relations Strategy for our Smyrna, TN location.
The Labor and Employee Relations Strategy, Manager will serve as a collaborative partner with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs), Centers of Excellence (COE), and business leaders across U.S. Manufacturing sites and Parts Distribution Centers. This position requires an individual with subject matter expertise in employee relations and labor relations, strong emotional intelligence, and a record of accomplishment of influencing stakeholders through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities

Ø Responsible for executing labor and employee relations strategies.
Ø Responsible for coaching and developing Employee Relations team members, across multiple sites.
Ø Conduct structured site visits to engage with employees and understand employee sentiment; identify opportunities to improve the environmental and cultural factors impacting the employee experience; partner with site leadership on solutions.
Ø Leverage data to develop, implement and track progress of site-specific action plans for improving the employee experience.
Ø Identify broad trends across Nissan’s US MFG and PDC sites and propose solutions.
Ø Partner with legal to ensure the rights of employees are protected.
Ø Develop systems and mechanisms to aid in the understanding of employee sentiment.
Ø Analyze data, develop and prepare standard and ad hoc reports, and present findings that “tell the story” with conclusions, responses, and recommendations to stakeholders. Enable, influence, and drive collaboration with the HR Center of Excellence (COE) teams to execute programs and drive excellence across the Human Resources function.
Ø Maintain a positive outlook and demonstrate perseverance in achieving objectives despite obstacles and potential resource constraints.
Ø Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
Ø Design and deliver positive employee relations trainings and communications.
Ø Flexibility for short-term assignments at manufacturing and parts distribution center locations within the region.
Required Key Competencies:
Ø HR Technical Skills and Knowledge, Written Communications, Project Management, Business Acumen, Strategic Analysis and Innovation, Judgment and Decision Making, Effective Communication, Leading Change, Partnering with the Business, Professional Presence and Credibility, Relationship Building / Organizational Savvy, Initiative and Perseverance, Adaptability, Negotiation and Influence Experience in a manufacturing/fast-paced organization preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Ø A degree from a 4-year college or university in HR or related field preferred
Ø Effective communication skills, and ability to influence at all levels of management
Ø Requires working knowledge of Microsoft products, usual PC applications, or Mainframe applications, etc. to produce non-standard, creative products.
This is a full-time position that could require travel up to 50% of the time over the course of the year.
