Job Description Commercial law firm in Union, New Jersey seeks full-time person to join our operations team. Law firm operations is a multi-faceted career, which involves the running of a law firm as a business. This is an entry-level position; however, some experience either in a law firm or professional services firm and/or a degree in business management or a related major is preferred. This is not a paralegal or legal assistant job. This is an in-person position and the hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, at a minimum. General Role Responsibilities (without limitation): Work closely with and provide general support to the Director of Operations and Office Manager; On-site vendor management and management of vendor projects (IT, facilities management, etc.); Help create and implement new firm processes and procedures; Support collaboration and knowledge sharing across the team (e.g. centralized resources, memos, etc.); Assist in document and information gathering and organization (both digital and paper); Organize firm resources such as computer hardware and general office and legal supplies; Establish procedures for organizing both incoming and outgoing mail and packages; Assist in maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements and reporting; Build and maintain project plans, checklists, and reminders for the team; and Coordination of team meetings and calendars. Additionally, the candidate should: Be eager to augment his or her current skill set with in-house training; Use sound judgment and have a can-do attitude; Have an interest in commercial law; Have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment, while prioritizing and adapting to quick changes and remaining diligent through each task performed; Have excellent computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; and Have excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
