ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.
Scheduling

• Plan construction operations to ensure deadlines will be met
• Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered as scheduled
• Schedule subcontractors and allocate responsibilities
• Clearly communicate “course corrections” with project team to achieve agreed upon milestones
• Continuously monitor internal and external manpower, and relay needs to talent acquisition

Cost Management

• Work with Superintendent and Project Manager on balancing and tracking the budget
• Assist in asset purchasing including equipment, machines, and supplies

Quality Management

• Comb through plans prior to construction to ensure sequencing is defined, and materials are ordered.
• Conduct Pre-Construction meetings to vet out issues prior to constructing
• Ensure the RFI process is happening in a timely manner
• Conduct site checks to monitor progress and quality standards
• Manage and motivate foremen, subcontractors, and team members throughout the construction process
• Meet with Superintendent regularly to discuss progress and resolve issues
• Handle environmental or local community issues that may arise during project

Contract Execution

• Work with subcontractors to ensure scope of work defined in the contract is executed
• Work with Project Manager on change order negotiation.

Team Building

• Coach, mentor, and lead project personnel in matters of construction practices and techniques
• Continuously assist team members and foreman in building a stronger team, on and off site

Safety Management

• Conduct Safety Orientations
• Stay up to date on all OSHA safety regulations
• Identify and eliminate possible hazards on the job site
• Responsible for monitoring team members and ensuring compliance with safe work practices

Requirements
Education

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent / College – Construction management or engineering

Experience

• 5+ years of construction site management
• Knowledge of MS Office

Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Must have very strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
• Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
• Must maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or personal information

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
