ABOUT THE POSITION:
Based in Le Mars, IA, we’re looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience showcasing high initiative and providing HR support to join our company. This position will report to the Plant Manager with collaboration with Corporate Officer of HR. This dynamic role is responsible for the end-to-end human resources function for our Iowa Facility and supporting the human side of the business strategy!

JOB DUTIES:
· Help identify new or replacement positions needed to support assigned business operations, recruit and fill jobs with top talent
· Onboard new employees
· Support the annual Performance Review process
· Support and help grow diversity and inclusion initiatives/culture
· Support on Unemployment cases, (complete notice of claim, write position statement, write appeals letters, participate/lead appeals hearing and fact-finding interviews)
· Create and/or support the maintenance of team skills matrix and wage scales
· Create and/or support ongoing feedback framework
· Ensure HR compliance obligations are fulfilled within all HR processes,
· Act as a local liaison for benefits and payroll matters; provide top customer service
· Support the automation of HR processes where applicable; track HR KPIs
· Provide resources and guidance on all disciplinary processes / discussions
· Coordinate as applicable, an annual employee engagement survey and drive the employee engagement initiatives to support a great-place-to-work and performance-driven culture
· Partner with people leaders to ensure individual development and succession plans for key positions and talent
· Design, develop, implement, track, and maintain employee recognition initiatives
· Monitor external trends, regulatory changes and legal updates and ensure compliance
· Provide guidance for internal stakeholders on company policies, procedures, governmental regulations, and compliance requirements
· Develop and update HR policies in partnership with the Americas HR Officer including revising the Employee Handbook as applicable
· Participate in assigned HR projects which may include new location openings, hiring events, HR system implementations, and more
· Provide HR metric reports and analysis and make data-driven recommendations in partnership with the Americas HR Officer, to key stakeholders in the business
· Build community relations to support recruitment, retention, and engagement initiatives
· Other projects and ad hoc assignments as needed.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred or possess equivalent in experience, preferred
· 5 years of progressive HR experience, experience with a rapidly growing organization preferred
· Project management skills: Must have the ability to document and effectively communicate project plans, monitor work in progress, and achieve project milestones/end results
· Proven experience participating in projects and processes from ideation through execution and the ability to track results under the guidance of our Americas HR Officer.
· Experience supporting employee engagement, organizational culture, onboarding and any another talent or people-oriented HR programs is preferred
· Must have experience with hiring and onboarding, required
· Knowledge of US employment laws required; Knowledge and experience with FLSA, EHS, FMLA, OSHA, Work Compensation cases, Unemployment claims, and other HR regulations and processes preferred
· Experience evaluating information to determine compliance with standards, laws, and regulations
· Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, preferred
· Interpersonal and organizational consulting skills required
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
· Must possess analytical skills and have experience pulling and/or creating reports and drawing conclusions from data
· HRIS experience required (e.g. ADP, WorkDay, BambooHR, or other HRIS)
· Experience guiding difficult performance discussions
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Excellent writing skills including, but not limited to, punctuation, grammar, attention to detail, consistency, and sentence structure appropriate for policy writing
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial work environment
· Must be customer-focused, energetic, enthusiastic, well-planned, and organized
