The individual in this position will serve as receptionist to the Division Headquarters Building and will provide receptionist and administrative duties as assigned. This individual will greet the public, visitors, other DOT employees, vendors and contractors and must be able to communicate in a professional manner. This individual must be able to be flexible in constant changes. This individual will answer a multi-line telephone system, process information and maintain various records and reports including phone bills, vehicle assignments, vehicle log reports, filing, and other duties as assigned. This person maintains phones, fax and copier and will also distribute mail.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following:
Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues
Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel.
Experience completing and/or maintaining forms, records and reports
Experience in record keeping.
Experience with letter writing, using correct spelling, punctuation and proofreading.
Additional Expectations:
The individual must possess the ability to operate a computer terminal and PC, ability to operate all types of office machines, ability to process and maintain records and reports, compile information as required to perform duties, ability to maintain records and written materials which represent the transaction or business of an office or organization, ability to follow oral and written instructions, ability to answer telephone and deal with the public, DOT and governmental officials.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
