NC Ferry Division is hiring seasonal Ferry Crew Members for all locations and shifts In:
Hatteras
Currituck
Ocracoke
Swan Quarter
Pamlico
Cedar Island
Cherry Branch
Southport
In this role you will:
Perform conventional work on board U.S. Coast Guard certified vessels under the supervision of an Able-Bodied Seaman and Ferry Master.
Safely direct, load, and unload passengers and vehicles off and on ferries.
Maintain deck and electrical/mechanical equipment and passenger facilities.
Enforce the safety and security regulations as outlined by the U.S. Coast Guard regulations.
Assisting traveling public and other crew members.
Perform shore duties and all other duties as assigned.
At your interview, you must present a copy of your
USCG Merchant Mariners’ Credential (MMC) with an Ordinary Seaman endorsement,
Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card

Qualified Applicants must submit an application that clearly reflects work experience that demonstrates the following
USCG Merchant Mariners’ Credential with an Ordinary Seaman endorsement
TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Possession of a valid Ordinary Seaman Certificate issued by the US Coast Guard. Necessary Special Qualifications Possession of a Transportation Worker Identification Credential Card (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
