The Automotive Technician works to help meet the inspection, repair and maintenance needs for our customers’ vehicles in a timely manner. Workers in this role are responsible for accurate diagnostics, clear communication, and timely repairs of vehicles.

We are looking for self-starters who are personally motivated, professional, dependable, and can handle the various challenges that the automotive repair business presents on a daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Test-drive vehicles.
• Test vehicle components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Ability to learn new technology, techniques, service procedures and specifications.
• Communicate directly with the management required repair information and if any additional service is needed.
• Provide an accurate estimate of time needed for repairs.
• Perform inspections and safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Manage customer expectations for repair cost and time of completion.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience Required for this Job:

• ASE Certification required
• Possess a valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record for conducting test drives.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively to customers and co-employees of organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Compensation:

• Compensation is based on skills and experience.
• 2 Weeks paid vacation.
• Dental Plan available.
• No weekend work (Open Monday – Friday 7:30am-5:30pm)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
