JOB TITLE: IDD NurseTEAM: IDD LOCATION: CadillacGENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority (NLCMHA) recognizes the value of and employs people with lived experience and believes strongly in Recovery and a Culture of Gentleness. The Nurse primarily works in residential group homes (both Agency operated and contractual), family homes and day program facilities. It also involves work with a variety of populations across the entire lifespan, but primarily with developmentally disabled persons served. Although the expectations for the position may vary from program to program, the overall primary function for this position is to assure that nursing/health programming is appropriate and suitable and consistent with generally accepted standards of persons served care. This position s to the Operations Manager, as assigned. This position has no direct supervision responsibilities.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS (listing Position Specific functions first):

GENERAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Nursing degree. Two (2) years of experience in providing services to consumers who have mentalhealth needs and developmental disabilities is preferred. Training and expertise in geriatric, dayprogramming and/or consultation may be required.LICENSING or CERTIFICATIONS: Registered Nursing licensure with the State of Michigan. Additional certification may be required. Must maintain licensure.QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: Credentialed by NLCMHA to provide services in this professional discipline.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES: This position may require irregular hours. This position may require travel by personal vehicle if an agency vehicle is not available. STAFF DEVELOPMENT/TRAINING: Will participate in initial/orientation training and other training identified as required by NLCMHA.
