Northrop Grumman, Space Systems – Propulsion Systems, is currently seeking a Driver – Medium Vehicles 2 for our Clearfield Utah team.
Role description & Responsibilities:
The Driver is responsible to safely execute the control, inventory, and distribution of tools, flight hardware, material and property, with extreme precision, to manufacturing locations.
Job Duties:
Transports materials using company vehicles, trucks and vans
Handles shipping and receiving of materials
Responsible for personal safety, safety of teammates, and supports safety improvements
Conveys materials using forklift, hand truck, dolly, elevator or other devices
Opens containers using hand tools, packages material, and weighs/counts material
Records data and manages accurate data records
Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues
Consider and put forward process improvements
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years related experience with logistics, shipping and receiving, driving
Candidate must have experience operating forklifts safely
Proficiency in using computers, ERP/MRP systems (such as CostPoint), and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Candidate must have experience and an understanding of working to schedules, under rigorous deadlines, and with minimal supervision
Skills & Qualifications:
Current DOT physical
Class A CDL (plans to obtain this CDL are also acceptable)
Good written and oral communication skills
Superior time management and organizational skills
Comfortable working under deadlines
Comfortable mentoring and being a resource to other teammates
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Able to resolve varied and moderately complex problems
Ability to understand, follow and to be periodically audited to established policies / procedures
Willing and able to work hours necessary to meet business objectives. This will include working intermittent overtime (40+ hours in a work week)
Education/Certifications
High School diploma and 2 years related experience
