The Global Operations team has an opening for a Manager 2, Strategic Planning to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support our advanced programs located in Falls Church, VA, Linthicum, MD or Melbourne, FL.
The Strategic Initiatives Manager for Global Operations will be responsible for supporting the enterprise initiatives that drive operational efficiency, enterprise strategy, optimization planning, and program performance execution. This leader will work across Global Operations with the Global Supply Chain, Enterprise Solutions, Operational Excellence, Enterprise Security, and Chief of Technology organizations to capture initiative results and provide visibility of execution progress of those projects to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead matrixed cross-functional organizations within Global Operations professionals to support execution and overall strategy for team initiatives.
Responsible and accountable for the strategy and visibility for all Global Operations enterprise initiatives.
Support and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers and work alongside of Global Supply Chain on key negotiations for major subcontract and procurement suppliers.
Coordinate planning, budget management, and execution of Global Operations strategic projects.
Develop and maintain the Global Operations strategic roadmap.
Key Knowledge and Skills:
Planning, risk management and project management of cost, schedule, and technical quality.
Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices and theories gained through broad and diverse experience.
Decision making that requires evaluation of many alternatives. These decisions may be made under conditions of uncertainty or where little precedent exists. Typically integrates input from multiple sources and which may affect an entire enterprise.
Ability to represent the organization and interact with peers concerning matters of significance to the company.
Conducting briefings and technical meetings for top management. Interacts with equivalent-level managers concerning matters of significance to the company. Has regular interaction with Director and VP -level management.
Ability to operate in the gray and be comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience leading supply chain program execution and/or program management including strategy, planning, and execution of programs OR Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience leading supply chain program execution and/or program management including strategy, planning, and execution of programs.
Minimum 4 years of management experience with a proven record of leading multi-functional integrated product teams.
Experience supporting large execution programs as well as new program pursuits.
Experience in aerospace/defense industry.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearances.
Masters of Business Administration/Supply Chain or related field.
International Business Experience.
Salary Range: $119,300.00 – $207,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
