Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a **Principal Systems Engineer** to join our team in **Orlando, FL** . Our engineering teams perform a variety of tasks leading to the successful integration, test, deployment, and sustainment of complex systems.

**As a Systems Engineer, your responsibilities could range to any of the following:**
+ Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
+ Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
+ Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
+ Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
+ Perform integration and testing activities with contractor provided equipment and systems with various government provided systems.
+ Generate test plans, test reports, system and software problem reports, and track issues through resolution.
The selected candidate should possess the ability to learn existing software architecture and system requirements. The individual will work with senior systems engineers to identify impacts to current system architecture design and requirements based on the integration of new capabilities. The successful candidate will deploy systems engineering and analysis skills to support evaluation and development of new system capabilities and existing system requirements.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor of Science in an Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) or other STEM discipline, with 5 years of relevant experience in engineering development projects OR- Masters degree in STEM, with 3 years of relevant experience in engineering development projects OR- PhD degree in STEM, with 0 years of relevant experience in engineering development projects
+ Familiarity or experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools
+ Familiarity or experience with system engineering tools such as IBM Rational DOORS
+ Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Familiarity or experience with Agile Development and the Atlassian Toolsuite
Salary Range: $90,400.00 – $135,600.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
