Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division, is seeking a Systems Engineering subject matter expert who will report to the SDS Engineering investments lead, and be responsible for supporting development and maturation of the System Architecture activities across SDS programs, including technical leadership for processes and best practices across the Cameo software suite.
This position will be located in Roy, Utah, Huntsville Alabama or Colorado Springs, CO and will support the business portfolio for the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division which includes the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, Ground Systems Sustainment Contract (GSSC) and related business development.
System Architecture technical leadership responsibilities include:
Provide technical leadership to company investments related to System Architecture tools and processes for GBSD and other programs, and integration of Cameo and Rhapsody with other model based systems engineering (MBSE) tools
Advising programs and digital transformation functions regarding program level System Architecture processes, best practices and tool maturation approaches, with the goal of improving management and coordination of system baseline definition and verification through functional and physical architecture
Maintaining, streamlining and establishing consistent practices within the Cameo environment, which includes data created internal to programs and modules received from the customer and subcontractors
Identifying and analyzing technological problems or risks related to Cameo and system architecture processes
Support the Architecture Model leaders by ensuring the architecture baseline is consistent with all approved baseline updates
Driving the completeness and consistency of necessary diagrams, attributes and linkages within SDS programs’ Cameo environments
Improve processes for data synchronization for Cameo across classification environments
Help define format and process for deliverables packaging for customer delivery
Develop Cameo and model governance training packages
Create progress and stability metrics

**Qualifications:**
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or Sr. Principal level.
**Basic Qualifications for Principal:**
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 5 years of technical experience; 3 years with a Master’s degree; 0 years with a Ph.D.
**Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal:**
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited university and 9 years of technical experience; 7 years with a Master’s degree; 4 years with a Ph.D.
**Basic Qualifications for both Principal and Sr Principal**
At least 5 years of experience implementing system architecture definition using UPDM and/or SysML in an MBSE tool such as MagicDraw (Cameo Enterprise Architect), Rhapsody, CORE etc.
working closely with SysML and Cameo architecture modeling tool
Excellent communication skills
Active DOD Secret clearance (investigated in the last 6 years)

Experience with complex system development on large programs
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
