Position Responsibilities
Establishes HRMS user accounts and trains new users, ensures the accuracy of personnel records and the integration of all HRMS tasks and notifications. Maintains both hard copy files and digital copies of employees’ records in the HRMS, and updates records of new staff.
Manages internal and external HR-related communications, inquiries, and requests.
Assists with the staffing process by setting up hiring events, identifying candidates, performing reference checks, issuing employment offers, and setting up initial pay details.
Ensures the smooth transition of staff entering (onboarding) and exiting (offboarding) the organization in accordance with policies, departmental protocols, and HRMS systems processes..
Maintains the accuracy of HR procedures and information in the company knowledge center.
Keeps up-to-date with the latest HR trends and practices and assists with state and federal labor law requirements.
Assists with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
Supports other assigned functions as needed.
Professional Education, Experience, and Skills
Minimum requirements include:
Post high school coursework in business or HR and 2 years of experience in HR with exposure to Labor Law and employment regulations.
Administrative gifting and a desire to serve others administratively in a ministry setting.
Computer literate with the ability to quickly learn new systems; good experience using Microsoft Office, Google platforms, online communication tools.
Knowledge of record-keeping and the use, maintenance, reporting functions, and accuracy of HR management systems (HRMS).
Has good communication and diplomacy skills, and able to Self motivated and able to perform well independently but also a good teammate with dedication to the team as a whole.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people in a variety of contexts.
The ability to work well under pressure and focused on meeting deadlines.
Good organizational and time management skills, with the proven ability to self-manage without direct supervision.
Attention to detail.
A think-outside-the-box attitude, with a focus on creating new systems and procedures to improve current HR services.
Preferred requirements include:
A bachelor’s degree with coursework in human resource.
An associates degree in human resources or business.
Two years of direct administrative experience in human resources.
Experience working in a nonprofit or ministry/church environment.
Experience working with a global workforce.
