Job Description
The National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL), a fast-growing provider of acquisition services to the US federal government is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to be a key player in the day-to-day operations of our team. Ideal candidates for this role should be highly precise workers who work quickly, and efficiently complete projects assigned to them. They will be supporting a very important function in our company that is growing quickly. This role is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Human Resources for the company.
Job Responsibilities:
Help with all new-hire procedures, including organizing employee, onboarding, orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary digital paperwork is properly filled out, submitted and tracked
Organize, maintain and update employee HR Employee information as needed
Track benefit plans, including health care, retirement, Workers Comp, etc.
Make sure all health and safety regulations are followed
Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews
Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to
Present any new or additional training materials to employees
Help ensure payroll processes are correct
Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface
Make sure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential
Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations
Under the leadership of the HR, be a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions employees may have
Support any other HR projects as needed
Preferred Skills:
PHR/SHRM certification a plus
Additional Details
Location: Remote but located near Crane, IN and surrounding areas
Domestic travel for this position is estimated at 10%
Open to all U.S. Citizens
Must be able to pass a background check
Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
2 – 4 years of relevant experience in HR
HR competence and knowledge of HR process and computer programs
Experience working in HRIS system
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Comfortable working in a highly visible role
Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking
Good time-management skills
Must be extremely outgoing with a positive personality
Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first
Ability to handle stressful situations
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent collaborator and Attentive listener
Ability to follow directions accurately and without hesitation
Understanding, empathetic and relatable
Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability
