Job title: Press break Operator

Reports to: Production Coordinator

Job Summary/Purpose

Nussbaum Automotive Solutions LP is a manufacturing company located in Gastonia, NC. We manufacture hydraulic lifts for the Automotive Aftersales Industry and automated parking systems for Carvana.

In this position you will process metal parts for the company’s own products on computer controlled (CNC) press brake. We have two press brakes: one Bytronic Xpert (3200kN press capacity and 13 ft length) and LVD EasyForm (1350kN press capacity and 8 ½ ft length).

Duties and responsibilities

· Follow detailed fabrication instructions, processes and procedures.

· Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to the department lead or plant manager.

· Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.

· Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.

· Comply with company safety policies.

· Must be able to work overtime when needed

Any other tasks or projects assigned which may supplement these duties; and further the mission of Nussbaum. Training when required will be provided by Nussbaum.

Qualifications

· Technical degree or 4 year on-the-job training

· Able to read prints and set up easy bending files in the press break

· Attention to detail and problem solving skills

· Advantage if experience with Bystronic machines

· Advantage if familiar with metric system

Working conditions

Requires, walking, standing, bending and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Must be 18 and be able to read, speak and understand English.

Bending, reaching, lifting, and long periods of standing are required.

Must be able to perform the physical requirements of this position.

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
