Job Description:

The Production Control Technician must be able to perform some/all of the following activities:

• Shipping/Receiving/Reentry of lots, Reclaims (sorting and packaging),
• Assisting Engineers with daily lot problems/regarding shipping/Lot completes,
• Procedure enforcement (Expired Lots/Scrapping Wafers, AWSO Holds, Slot Map Adjustments)
• Checking MHS Gates and weekly Audit Tasks as assigned.
• The Production Control Technician may be involved in new, unusual or more involved designs, layouts, products, devices, methods, or procedures.
• The Production Control Technician spends significant time providing technical direction and assistance to management and to other technical personnel and may be held accountable for results.
• Provides leadership to others and is a key resource inside and outside of the organization.
• The Production Control Technician works unsupervised, demonstrates leadership by spending significant time anticipating and providing technical direction, training, and assistance to Work Station Operator’s/others. Recognizes errors in a wide variety of own and others’ work, defects or inaccuracies which could lead to scrapped product, and takes actions to prevent or correct problem.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to identify functional problems, takes corrective action, & interface with supervisors, engineers & vendors to explain problems
• Must be able to create/update controlled documents in relation to Control Center/other areas policies and procedures
• Will participate in training/mentoring WSO level I, level II and level III staff
• Will participate in the scheduling of other staff to ensure smooth operation of the clean room/production line
• Ensure that MPS’s, Controlled Environmental Clean room, and Safety guidelines are followed and understood by all tenants and employees
• Advanced knowledge and operations of SIVIEW applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership and production control role in a high tech research/development or manufacturing environment.
• Candidate must have good mechanical skills, excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft word and Excel, possess good written communication skills,
• Well organized with attention to detail, have the ability work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment as well as be available for overtime work.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership and production control role in a high tech environment.
• An Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field from a college or university accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization;

OR

• Equivalent educational and professional experience and training associated in a highly technical/engineering environment.
