We are seeking qualified applicants with a steady work history to fill an Embedded Software Engineer position.
Duties:
- Design, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software application components for displays, controls, and systems for mobile machinery.
- Ensures that manufacturing, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Supports, installs, and debugs software applications in Control Hardware.
- Assists with supporting, installing, and debugging software applications in field situations with mobile machinery.
- Participates and/or leads in the Software Quality Assurance process which encompasses software design, coding, source code control, code reviews, software configuration, testing release, and intergration.
Education:
BSCE/BSEE/BSME
Experience:
3-6 years
Skills:
- Ability to apply principles and techniques of software engineering to the duties outlined.
- Five years working experience with 8, 16, and 32- bit microcontrollers, hardware/software integration, C and assembly languages, writing driver-level software.
- Ability to produce standardized code with documentation.
- Must have a good ability to read/interpret schematics
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good time and priority management of multiple assignments.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and tools. Works under minimal supervision.
- Must have experience with CAN bus serial protocol such as CANopen and/or J1939. Must have prior experience working with a version control system.
- Experience with Python and/or Codesys is favorable.
