Ohio State University Medical Center Hiring for HR Consultant at Columbus, OH Full Time

Ongoing analysis of the business by monitoring and interpreting trends and metrics around employee engagement, attrition and turnover. Partner with Director and management to establish recommendations for improvements or enhancements based on analysis.

• Deliver seamless human resource customer support by leveraging HR programs, policies, processes and systems.
• Maintain a high level of business literacy across all mission areas through building strong relationships with management, staff and faculty, and serving as a thought partner.
• Communicates and partners with the HR Service Center on all human resources transactional requests for faculty, staff and students; regularly reviews reports and data for compliance with payroll and other internal controls.
• Participates in the salary budget planning process for supported departments by providing budget and salary projections; researches, recommends and requests compensation adjustments.
• Through collaboration with Employee Relations, provide appropriate advice and counsel on employee relations issues to ensure compliance with employment policies and procedures are consistently and equitably applied.
• Partner with the HR Director and leadership on high impact initiatives to include; talent assessment, high-potential development, succession planning, manager development and on-boarding and employee engagement and retention.
• Analyzes HR trends from various sources such as exit interviews, One Voice staff and faculty engagement surveys, staff feedback from rounding and make recommendations for improvement.
• Identifies educational needs of management and staff, partners with Business Services team to recommend formal trainings and/or coaching opportunities. Monitors success of training and follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Partner with Compensation to classify roles, responsibilities and pay practices; guide effective application of total rewards program.
• Support the compliance and accreditation efforts that impact areas of operation and responsible for communication of HR policy.
• Provide tactical support for organizational restructuring, workforce planning and other strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate the ADA placements and transitional work assignment in collaboration with the office of Integrated Absence Management & Vocational Services and Employee Relations.
• In consultation with OHR and benefits, provide on-boarding and education to new staff and faculty in regards to wellness initiatives and university benefits.
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation; communicate changes in HR policy, practice or process.
• Assure alignment and consistency of communication for projects and initiatives across different organizational levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,700.00 – $90,000.00 per year
