The successful applicant will act as an HR business partner to one or more planning units (which may include a combination of academic and support units). The incumbent(s) in this role will proactively provide HR services by developing relationships with assigned units and understanding their operational needs, mission, and direction.
HR Liaisons serve as experts in university policy and procedure both directly and indirectly related to HR activities. They must help departments achieve missions through navigating and leveraging such policies.HR Liaisons must be adept at developing and maintaining collaborative, productive relationships with other campus partners such as the Office of Legal Affairs, Equity and Civil Rights Compliance, and Diversity and Inclusion. Liaisons collaborate with internal HR centers of excellence including benefits, compensation, payroll, and employee and labor relations.
HR Liaisons will facilitate training sessions across a wide variety of HR topics and may be tasked with developing related training.
