Job Description

onsemi is seeking an experienced, self-driven, and highly motivated recruiting leader to join our Talent Acquisition team. This role will be based at the company headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona but will help lead a geographically dispersed team of recruiters across the United States.

As a Director of Talent Acquisition at onsemi, you will have the opportunity to lead several functions within the recruiting team. This role will focus on working with our pre-onboarding team, lead the sourcing team, manage background checks, develop, and drive the vendor management program and lead the recruiting marketing program, amongst other key areas within Talent acquisition. This will be in collaboration with the lead recruiting team, senior business leaders and HR business partners on current and future hiring needs. You will drive creative sourcing strategies to ensure we are consistently attracting and hiring top talent.

As a global leader in our industry, you will have the opportunity to lead large-scale, global staffing initiatives while partnering with our regional recruiting teams in Europe (focus area), Asia, and North America.

Performance Objectives

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Drive the recruiting social media strategy with a social media specialist on the team and in partnership with the marketing team.
• Designing innovative sourcing strategies to attract, select and on-board top talent while leading an offshore sourcing team.
• Develop vendor management and 3rd party staffing vendor strategy and lead this function for the talent acquisition team.
• Manage the pre-onboarding team, with scheduling interviews, visa immigration, background check processes and actions that support the candidate experience.
• Creating strong global partnerships with business leaders, colleges, and universities and collaborating with other HR business functions.
• Developing and executing recruiting plans by establishing a metric-driven strategy to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing cost per hire.
• Balancing and prioritizing the needs of the business with the company’s strategies.
• Setting team performance goals, metrics, timelines, and a standard tracking process to measure and manage deliverables.
• Partnering with our recruiting teams in Europe and Asia on key initiatives.
• Advising hiring managers, providing functional expertise, market-related intelligence, and forecasting employment issues and trends.
• Mentoring and coaching a team to ensure they have the support and resources they need to develop and grow in their careers.
• Always be a champion for onsemi’s diversity, equity and inclusion recruiting strategies.
• Driving continuous improvement of the entire staffing process.
• Overseeing the new hire process to ensure seamless onboarding of all new employees.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years leading people within a talent acquisition function.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or closely related field.
• Prior experience in sourcing, executive recruiting, college recruiting, onboarding, and large volume staffing.

Additional Qualifications

• Prior experience developing and leading large scale, strategic, global staffing initiatives.
• Semiconductor, high-tech, and/or lean manufacturing industry exposure a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. hiring laws and regulations.
• Experience working for federal government contractors (EEOC & OFCCP compliance knowledge).
• Licenses/Certifications: SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.
