OneSource Communications Hiring for Telecommunications Technician Job at Fort Worth, TX Full Time

Experience is preferred but is not required. We will provide paid on the job training to the right candidates.

Qualifications

• Telecommunications Knowledge, Telecommunications Technologies, Provisioning, Technical Understanding, Functional and Technical Skills, Independence, Attention to Detail, Verbal Communications, Documentation Skills, Audiovisual Maintenance

• Will be required to work in all weather conditions and willing to work an on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks

• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug screening and background check

• Maintain a clean vehicle and workspace at all times

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding attention to detail

• Must be able to lift 50 plus pounds

• Must be able to work on a ladder at heights of 32ft

• Must be able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• This person will perform service and installation tasks for cable television, telephone, Internet, data and inside wiring: both commercial and residential

• Establish voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches programming features; establishing connections

• Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems

• Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications

• Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network when back-up and updating documentation

• Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions

• Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations

• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt

• Enhances department and organizations reputations by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

• Company vehicle and tools will be provided for business use
