We are looking for a Python developer to help with porting and refactoring a large application to a Python codebase. The Applications Developer-Python shall support Applications and interface Development (DEV) support team with the personnel and technical resources to support the design, development, procurement, enhancement, test and evaluation, deployment, and maintenance of new and fielded applications and interfaces in support of activities of the OTD/CIS.
All applicants MUST possess an active Top Secret Clearance.
The Developer shall provide technical and engineering support activities that include, but are not limited to the following:
Validating content, processing, and conversion of raw subscriber and toll record data collections.
Performing customer service requests.
Performing system and website maintenance.
Providing administration and maintenance of data repositories, data stores, and conversion scripts and/or software programs, applications, and tools.
Developing new scripts to process and/or convert new subscriber and toll record data types.
Writing effective, scalable code using the Python programming language;) Developing back-end components with a focus on improving responsiveness and overall performance.
Developing and integrating Rest APIs using Python.
Integrating user-facing elements into applications.
Testing and debugging applications, including writing code for automated unit tests; Coordinating within the development team to determine application requirements, including translating designs and wireframes into high quality code; and Writing optimized SQL queries and stored procedures.
