OPORTUN is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Retail Operations Manager. The Retail Operations Product Manager will manage and lead the business processes, operations and systems that support sales performance in the Retail organization. As a primary role within the Retail operations group, you will be the primary partner to many business lines throughout Oportun. This role will lead the development of all functional business requirements, acceptance testing of new capabilities, market introduction/deployment when ready for launch and enhancements/maintenance to current Oportun products/CRM, including system upgrades/releases. As Oportun continues to offer loans in new states, the Retail Operations Product Manager will serve as the primary role in preparing Retail for operational readiness, and partner with multiple functional areas throughout Oportun.
This role will influence the efforts of a large number of resources within the organization to lead changes that will best support improvement in operating processes and will maintain a very close relationship with the Technology team and Retail Leadership to understand their needs and develop strategies that improve the customer experience. The Retail Operations Product Manager will serve as the primary partner from multiple functional areas throughout Oportun, including Engineering, Data Analytics, Compliance, PAS and Mobile, Quality Assurance, End User Services, Document Control, Marketing and Legal.
The person in this role needs to have superior social skills to navigate the organization and deliver results on both requirements and process development. The individual should also be able to lead multiple projects and resources to implement strategies within the areas of influence. You are a proactive advocate who strives to deliver quality projects to the Retail organization and have the ability to work around resource and technology limitations to create sustainable and effective business improvements.
