SaaS Engineering Employee Experience is seeking a highly accomplished and engaging Principal Employee Communications Manager to inspire and connect with our employees.
We communicate with our people in a variety of ways, with the goal of reaching everyone wherever they are. This critical position is responsible for creating targeted communication strategies, plans, content, and materials that inform and engage our people, and support our business. You will join us at a time when we are designing the future of how we communicate with and connect our team members globally. This position reports to the Senior Director, Employee Experience in SaaS Engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy + Planning
Develop and manage the communication plan and roadmap for SaaS Engineering employees.
Create and implement communication plans for a diverse range of employee engagement initiatives.
Proactively identify gaps in our communications and raise solutions for addressing them.
Modernize communication practices, and drive the transition to a video-first culture.
Track and evaluate results, and apply key learnings to improve future communication activities.
Programs + Process
Establish and oversee the employee communication governance practices that drive a desired and consistent experience for our employees.
Manage organization-wide employee communication vehicles, including All Hands meetings, newsletters, organization announcements, Slack channels, and web presence.
Deliver essential news and information to employees in a timely manner. Share what we know, when we know it.
Support employee engagement activities, and initiatives spanning the employee lifecycle.
Develop communication standards, processes, and best practices for organization-wide use.
Content
Create targeted content, aligned to the needs of different stakeholders.
Work with subject matter experts to translate and distill information into clear, easy-to-understand, and engaging communications.
Partner with stakeholders to ensure communications are impactful and aligned with the style and tone that reflects our brand.
Model high-quality content development for the rest of our team.

Responsible for providing employee communications support by providing collaborative consultation and guidance, developing and implementing communications strategy and plans, writing and developing communications deliverables, and publishing content across a variety of internal channels, including internal news and blog stories, video, emails, social media and web.
Consults with internal stakeholders from the organization to clearly understand business objectives and define the communications objectives and outcomes needed to address those objectives. Acquires deep understanding of internal stakeholders business and builds ongoing strategic relationships to proactively provide guidance and support stakeholders communications needs and challenges. Applies design-thinking and uses data, insights and user input to inform strategies, messaging and program design. Writes crisp and compelling positioning, messaging and content for a variety of media and channels, including email, articles, social media, newsletters, presentations, events, video, web, and collateral; ensures strategic message alignment and consistency across touchpoints. Manages communications plan implementation, including design and development of high-impact communications deliverables, websites, and campaigns; collaborates with internal and external partners and vendors to deliver. Analyzes effectiveness of communications efforts, improves existing processes, and researches new communication approaches.
8 – 12 years experience in communications with emphasis in internal/employee communications, including project management, strategic client engagement, communication plan development and implementation, written and video storytelling, content organization, message flow, grammar, proofreading, and editing. Experience using web publishing and social media tools preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment. Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills. Highly detail-oriented. Proficiency in MS Office suite. Experience using HTML and Adobe Photoshop preferred. Preferred Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications or related experience with writing/editing emphasis.
