Develops and plans programs and structure with the Orchard Hospital volunteers. Represents the department and CEO at events, seminars, trainings and maintains a consistent public image.
Qualifications:
Must possess at least a High-school diploma/GED.
Must have at least two years of HR experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Must exhibit a high regard of integrity and a high level of confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of position.
Demonstrates the capacity to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced small team environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze problems, facilitate solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Maintain professionalism at all times, while providing positive customer service to clients and staff.
Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
Ability to multi-task.
Extremely detail oriented, with strong follow-through.
Job Responsibilities:
Serves as initial point of contact for staff, management, customers, and volunteers; accurately and effectively meeting their needs.
Processes personnel changes in HRIS – new hire, term, status changes, salary changes, etc.
Acts as the primary liaison for employee benefits, including but not limited to: initial benefit enrollment, processing benefit changes, providing assistance during open enrollment and answering employees’ benefit related questions.
Maintains all Licensure for all personnel to guarantee that they are current.
Coordinates and conducts on-boarding of new employees, contractors, volunteers and interns/externs.
Schedules and coordinates new hire orientations.
Provides clerical/administrative support such as, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, provide telephone coverage, and order department stationery and supplies, etc.
Maintains accurate and uptodate personnel records and files.
Answers questions regarding verifications of employment and reference checks.
Manages badge administration process and distribution.
Meets organizational standard for attendance, punctuality and use of break times.
Communicates effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain relationship with staff, management and employees.
Maintains knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
Assists with providing system generated reports and compiling statistics on HR programs and projects.
Complies with COBRA, FMLA, CFRA, ADA and the Pregnancy leave acts.
Provides periodic assistance with planning and facilitation of Hospital events which may occasionally occur outside of normal business hours.
Completes monthly reconciliation of benefit bills.
Orchard Hospital complies with the California State mandate which requires all healthcare workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with a booster shot. Some workers may be exempt from this requirement due to religious beliefs or a qualified medical reason.
