Primary Purpose
As a member of the OAW Reception team, this role provides critical first point of contact for patients by providing clinic reception. We are looking for team members who are able to work in a high volume patient care setting and have the ability to work calmly and efficiently while communicating in a courteous and professional manner. Schedules and or checks in clinical services, greets and registers the patient using Epic practice management system. Completes all necessary forms, obtains
demographic and insurance information, collects co-payments, adds or updates basic patient account information.

| Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service skills preferred in a Medical practice setting. Excellent communication (Written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to work with a variety of team members professionally; ability to effectively communicate with a variety of patients, staff and physicians. Epic system preferred. Medical Terminology knowledge a plus. Experience in using personal computers, Microsoft Office or similar applications, Training or experience in keyboarding/data entry with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions, and to sort and file information alphabetically and numerically. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
