About The Role

The Vice President, Member Strategy & Operations is responsible for envisioning and designing the strategic direction of a department in deep partnership with stakeholders.

You will report to the Senior Vice President, Operations.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office ( in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Ave), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. Otherwise, this is a remote / work-from-home role.

You must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $228,000 – $299,250 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar’s unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and lead cross-functional strategy to define the overarching Member Experience Strategy
• Create and execute on a unified Operating Model for how Member Experience Insights and Member Experience Strategy are managed at Oscar through cross functional partnership
• Oversee program design (e.g. optimization or structuring of programs) related to member services delivered by the Operations team, including: customer service, care management, and virtual care programming
• Enhance the departments overall value by setting and achieving justifiable and scaled goals
• Continuously identify opportunities for efficiency and automation
• Stay abreast of industry developments, new schemes, and technological and regulatory developments, in order to implement targeted and responsive strategies
• Evaluate opportunities to build internal capabilities vs. outsource to external vendors to select the optimal model for Oscar to pursue
• Foster widespread engagement – by internal and external stakeholders
• Coach, develop and lead a department to successfully achieve team outcomes
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 10+ years specific experience and demonstrated success in healthcare services
• 10+ years of project management experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience

Bonus Points

• MBA, MPH or similar preferred

Pay Transparency:

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
