To implement, manage and control finances and accounting systems. Responsible for overseeing accounting aspects of multiple processing facilities, including the creation of financial statements, costing analysis, application of companywide policies and procedures, A/P and A/R processing and reconciliation of all asset, liability, equity, revenue and expense accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.
• Monitor, analyze and control operating performances.
• Forecast and monitor revenue and cash flow.
• Ensure the appropriate mix of time is spent training/guiding the team at various plants as needed.
• Ensure period statements are accurate and available on a timely basis.
• Evaluate company performance via actual to budget analysis via the use of comparative statements and evaluation of financial ratios/statistics.
• Identify variances from the asset management budget and identify corrective action.
• Be responsive to changes in corporate cash needs.
• Lead and manage the financial business cycles for Pacific Seafood.
• Assist in the organization and coordination of physical inventories.
• Drive the implementation, application and continued improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Perform and/or coordinate regular performance reviews, including assistance in career development where appropriate.
• Review financial practices and recommend corrective action.
• Organize and coordinate annual budget preparation at the plant level.
• Report and analysis of financial data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Understand and communicate business processes, trends and key performance indicators.
• Confirm that proper daily financial transactions are recorded in the general ledger on a timely/accurate basis and all appropriate information is backed-up.
• Ensure that all appropriate tax forms, registration, licenses, etc. are accurately prepared and submitted.
• Answer AP/AR and inventory personnel inquiries.
• Ensure an inventory analysis is part of the monthly financial statement and review with the General Manager..
• Consult with the General Manager and the corporate team on the financial and administration objectives, programs, strategies and action plans.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum two years related experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB codification

Preferred

• Exposure to multiple companies and accounting policies and procedures.
• CPA or CMA Preferred
• Ability to travel, approximately 25% of the time. Seasonal peak production months will require more travel commitments.
• Strong Computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel
