Position Overview: Collaborate with the Health Promotion and Wellness Director on the development, implementation and administration of community, commercial and government wellness products, programs, partnerships and key initiatives. Provide oversight and consultation to Wellness Consultants on the planning, development, evaluation and performance of all comprehensive health management or wellness programs for employer groups. Work directly and indirectly with employer groups, schools districts and communities in all markets, to provide health promotion and wellness programs, with a strong focus on health promotion and facilitation of healthy behaviors. Interact with Health Promotion and Wellness Director, Marketing, Provider Network (CCN partners), Quality, Health Services, Government, Sales, Wellness Staff and other internal staff and external community entities as needed to facilitate the promotion and adoption of positive health behaviors throughout our communities. Maximize community, worksite, and member health by implementation of key health promotion and wellness initiatives. Collaborate with the Health Services Condition Support staff to effectively integrate wellness offerings with disease management programs.

Work Experience: 7-10+ years’ experience in program management specific to health education, worksite wellness, health promotion and population health with at least 3 years’ experience within a health payer setting. Experience creating and implementing wellness programs and health related tools and resources. Previous work on community health and school health initiatives.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor of Public Health, Wellness Education or Promotion fields required.
Knowledge: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Good active listening skills, experience with professional presentations, act as a technical resource for individuals and groups for best practice health information. Makes decisions and formulates responses based on best practices and medical care guidelines and other clinical information while speaking with program participants, developing programs, and working with internal and external staff. Experience in education/teaching. Strong customer service skills. Knowledge of, and research skills to locate, community services, providers, vendors and facilities available to assist members as well as information pertinent to conditions. Good organizational skills with experience in using computers and various software applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook recommended. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Competencies
Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 25% of the time.
