Tools and Part / HAZMAT Attendant – Aviation
The Tool & Parts / HAZMAT Attendant is responsible to the Amentum Lead/Logistics Manager for the daily routine of issuing tools and hazardous material. The Tool & Parts Attendant/HAZMAT Attendant must be capable of performing requisitioning/procuring, inventory control, storing, shelf life, packaging, shipping, receiving, and cataloging required material in the support of aircraft operations. The Tool & Parts Attendant/HAZMAT Attendant must be capable of interpreting and complying with all DOD, Company, and Manufacturer Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)/directives/policies as directed by appropriate levels of supervision.
The Tool & Parts / HAZMAT Attendant is responsible for the self-directed adherence to the Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies and mandated Quality Assurance, Security, Explosive Safety and all other applicable Navy/Air Force and Company Program requirements.

The Tool & Parts / HAZMAT Attendant must possess superior qualities of personal integrity, maturity, judgment, and aptitude that facilitate the accomplishment of assigned work functions and the cultivation of a quality work environment.
Must be capable of providing training in your specialty/qualification/certifications to other employees.
Will be capable of reading and interpreting all reports, directives, publications, and manuals pertaining to your assigned responsibilities.
Be capable of performing off-site related services and detachments when directed.
Be capable of working any shift assignment and work overtime when required.
Be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
Comply and participate with the Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Program, when directed.
Will operate standard office equipment such as telephones, typewriters, computer terminals, and other related mechanized equipment; facsimile and duplicating equipment; calculators, etc.
Will be knowledgeable in the Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS) for control and issue of Hazardous materials, Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS/OOMA), Program, and Aviation Logistics Material Management System (ALMMS) for all required user techniques and applications.
Training will be provided for ALMMS applications.
Must be able to operate stationary and portable bar code readers.
Will be required to inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects.
Prepare written damage reports and disposal/turn-in documentation.
Must have the ability to design, develop, document and maintain requisition logs and files, stock records and files, and work accomplished records, etc.
Will be required to engrave, etch, tag or mark tools and equipment for accountability.
Must have the ability to write item descriptions for a range of new items entering the supply channels of an agency or field operation.
Must have the ability to use common hand tools and equipment to package, handle, and transport equipment, supplies and materials. Ensure security as applicable.
Responsible for adhering to the Tool Control Program.
Complies with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations, as applicable.
Perform other duties and Collateral Duty assignments as assigned and directed by management.
Must have a minimum of a 40-hour HAZMAT course.
Must have two (2) years of experience specializing in a DOD aviation/material control environment or equivalent civilian experience.
Must be familiar with DOD procedures, regulations and directives concerning logistics support and supply systems; specifically the tool control and hazardous material programs as it applies to organizational and intermediate level maintenance.
The Tool & Parts Attendant/HAZMAT Attendant must have a valid state operator’s license and the ability to pass government-licensing requirements.
Must be able to qualify and obtain/maintain a US DOD secret security clearance.
